THE Liberal Party has denied reports that it is plotting to oust President Rodrigo Duterte and install Vice President Leni Robredo as president.

LP Senators Franklin Drilon and Francis Pangilinan have dismissed “as totally unfounded” the allegations that they are planning to oust the President. Duterte claimed that the “yellows,” or the individuals allied with LP, were planning to unseat him. Yellow is the political color of LP.

“Wala pong katotohanan iyan. We respect the mandate of our people. But certainly we would state our positions on various issues na baka naman hindi sang-ayon doon sa position ng pangulo.

“So, these are views that we expressed as a party and they have nothing to do with any plan allegedly to oust the president. We deny that categorically,” he said in a chance interview.

In a radio interview, Pangilinan, LP president, also denied the report that the party intends to grab power.

In fact, Pangilinan said the LP does not have a wide base to execute such ouster plot.
