Druggie gunned down

NASUGBU, Batangas 

-- A suspected drug offender was gunned down by an unidentified  motorcycle-riding suspect while standing and talking with his friend in Mulingbayan Building, at the corner of F. Alix and  Consuelo Sts., Bgy. 8, here, over the weekend.

Insp. Dave Cajes Acang, of the Nasugbu Police Station, identified the victim as Jesus Bilog Vargas, 34, single, of Roxaco Subd., Bgy. Pantalan, this town.
   
A team, led by Acang, proceeded to the area after a concerned citizen reported the incident to the Nasugbu Municipal Police Station at 5:20 p.m.
   
Case officers PO3 Melvin Cabungcal and PO1 Ronnie Glenn Bagsic said that at 5 p.m.,  the victim and his friend Mark Anthony Vicente were talking to each other in the area when the unidentified MC-riding suspect appeared and shot him several times.
   
The suspect then quickly sped away.
   
Acang said the victim was included in the police drug watchlist of police station and was also a suspect in several theft incidents in the town.
   
A team from the Batangas Crime Provincial Laboratory Office recovered at the scene four empty shells, two slugs for unknown caliber of firearm and two plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
