Bus employees turn over 10 kg of MJ to QC cops

BUS employees turned over to Quezon City Police District (QCPD) about 10 kilos of dried marijuana leaves which were left at a bus terminal in Bgy. Kamias Monday night.

Acting QCPD district Senior Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar said that at 11:30 p.m. Monday, employees of Florida Bus company located on EDSA in Bgy. West Kamias were sorting packages at the transit’s baggage area when one of the employees opened a suspicious cardboard box which was among the unclaimed boxes due for disposal. The employees were stunned upon seeing that the box contained 10 bricks of dried marijuana leaves. Hence, they informed the security guard, who relayed the information to a police patroller in the area.
The contraband, with estimated value of P130,000, was  turned over  to the District Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Group (DAIDSOTG) in Camp Karingal for proper disposition.
