Malaysian nabbed at NAIA for 4.6g of cocaine

A MALAYSIAN national was arrested by authorities for hiding 4.6 grams of illegal drugs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 in Pasay City.

The suspect identified as Nasiruddin Bin Mohammad Hasnan, 22, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Monday by elements of the NAIA Drug Interdiction Task Group.
Recovered from the suspect’s luggage were nine cylindrical cans containing 216 pieces of large pellets filled owith high-grade cocaine weighing 4.6175 grams.
The illegal drugs were allegedly hidden among  chocolate bars inside a canister in the suspect’s carry-on luggage.
Accordingly, the suspect arrived in NAIA at 4:30 p.m. via Ethiopian Airlines flight ET628 from Togo.
The arrest of the suspect came following information received by the Drug Interdiction Task Group  from the US Drug Enforcement Agency regarding the alleged arrival of a drug courier from Togo.
