URDANETA City, Pangasinan -- The barangay captain of Pinmaludpod, here, listed as a “high-value” target drug personality of the city PNP, along with his driver, were killed by unidentified gunmen.
There were, however, victims of collateral damage as a 74-year-old canteen owner died when the vehicle of the victims hit her canteen.
The shooting incident transpired at 11:35 a.m. Thursday along the national road in Zone 2, Bgy. Pinmaludpod. The victims were Punong Barangay Bartolome Manaoang Andrada and his driver Johnny Muerong Barlon, a barangay CVO. They were declared dead on arrival by an attending physician at the Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital.
The two were on board a black Mitsubishi Montero (JOR 333) and heading west when the two unidentified suspects on board a white and black motorcycle without plate number fired at the victims, whose vehicle swerved towards the left lane straight to the Meong Canteen, hitting 74-year-old Consuelo Ramirez and her son Moises.
Consuelo was declared dead on arrival at the hospital while her son is still being treated.
As reported to by the Urdaneta PNP to the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, technical assistance was conducted by the PNP Crime Laboratory personnel.
Recovered inside the Mitsubishi Montero were a caliber .45 pistol Llama Max-1 Magnum L/F with serial No. 07-04-20976-97, a caliber .22 revolver (with no serial number) loaded with three ammunition, a digital weighing scale, two caliber .45 magazine assys loaded with seven and two ammo, respectively and one extended caliber .45 magazine assy without ammunition.
Also recovered were three pieces of fired cartridges for caliber. .45 ammo, two fired bullets for cal. .45 from the original position of Andrada.
All recovered items were placed under the custody of PNP Crime Laboratory.
