GENERAL NATIVIDAD, Nueva Ecija — Two dead men were found on Friday inside an abandoned van here.
Police identified the victims as Resito Dela Cruz, 45, an internet shop owner residing at 267 Bonifacio St., and Alvin Libed, 37, a computer technician of Laureta St., both of Bgy. Calaocan, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija.
The victims were discovered dead inside a black Toyota Hi-Ace van without license plates. The vehicle was found abandoned on the provincial road in Purok 7, Bgy. Mataas na Kahoy.
Mario Liwanag, 56, a barangay peace-keeper immediately alerted the police upon seeing the two cadavers.
Provincial police director Sr. Supt. Manuel Cornel said both victims were hogtied with wire and packaging tape. Their necks and feet were looped with wires.
Recovered inside the vehicle were a plate number PCO 970 and a xerox copy of certificate of registration in the name of Fernando Domingo.
Also found in the van were rolls of aluminum foil, used aluminum strips, four lighters and a cellular phone.
Police are investigating the twin murders.
