Cop dies in MC crash

A neophyte policeman was killed when the motorcycle he was riding figured in an accident in Marikina City yesterday morning. 

Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula said PO1 Jeffrey Adloc Jr., 25, was declared dead on arrival at  Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center (ARMMC).
The police officer, assigned at the Marikina Police Community Precint (PCP-1), sustained fatal head and body injuries.
Based on initial investigation by SPO1 Edwin Umalia, the accident happened on J.P. Rizal St., Bgy. Malanday, at  2:40 a.m.
Reports said Adloc was riding his Yamaha Mio with for registration plate and travelling on a curve portion of J.P. Rizal Street reportedly tried to avoid hitting a tricycle from the opposite lane.
The policeman veered to the right but accidentally went out of control.
Due to the impact, the policeman was thrown off the motorcycle, landing on his head and body on the Meralco concrete post.
Rescue teams took the victim to the hospital.
