5 pushers killed in CamSur, Angeles, Cavite clashes, 12 arrested

THREE suspected drug pushers were killed in separate buy-bust operations in Buhi and Pili towns in Camarines Sur, Cavite and Angeles City where 12 others were arrested, police reported yesterday.

Bicol police director Chief Supt. Melvin Buenafe identified the suspects as Jesus Goronal, alias Jessie, of Buhi, and Beda Lumacad Ma-gistrado, of Zone 4, Bgy. Cadlan, Pili, both in CamSur.
Police said Goronal was killed in a shootout with local policemen and members of the Municipal Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (MAIDSOTG) and Police Community Relations-PIO, during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Sta. Justina, Buhi, on Wednesday.
A handgun, a bolo, several small sachets of shabu and cash were recovered near Goronal’s body.
An hour later, Magistrado, the no. 2 most wanted in the illegal-drug watchlist of Pili MPS, also died in a shootout with members of the MAIDSOTG in Bgy. Cadlan.
Reportedly, Magistrado drew a cal. .38 revolver and fired at the police operatives after sensing that the “poseur-buyer” was a policeman. He was declared dead on arrival at Bicol Medical Center in Naga City.
Meanwhile, police collared inside Magistrado’s motorshop Ramon Liad Canale, Albert Bermido de Andres and Ronel Magistrado Molina who yielded two plastic sachets of shabu, aluminium foil, a plastic tooter, lighters and an improvised heater.
In Angeles City, a suspected drug pusher was killed while nine others, including three women, were arrested in a three-day anti-drug operations in various parts of this city.
City police director Senior Supt. Sidney Villaflor said that at 6 a.m. last August 28, policemen conducted a buy-bust operation against one Ronolfo Borabien, 42, in Bgy. Pampang.
The operation turned into an armed encounter after the suspect noticed that the poseur-buyer was a policeman. The suspect was killed.
A cal. .38 revolver loaded with six live ammunition and three small plastic sachets containing suspected shabu were confiscated from the suspect, according to Chief Insp. Melencio Santos of Station 2.
At 4:40 p.m., police arrested Aijie Briones, 28, and Christine dela Cruz, 24, after they sold a plastic sachet to a police poseur-buyer in the vicinity of Rajah Lodge in Bgy. Balibago.
Last August 30, police raided two houses and arrested seven persons while having a pot session.
At 2:30 p.m., Jennifer Pamintuan, 27, Jerome Villanueva, 21, Victoriano Miranda, 51, and Roldan Tolentino, 34, were arrested in a pot session inside a house in District 2 of EPZA Resettlement Center in Bgy. Pulung Cacutud.
After three hours, police arrested Jason Mendoza, 29, Robert Manalo, 28, and Joel Buenaventura, 48, after they were caught in a pot session in Jaoville Compound, Bgy. Pandan.
Confiscated from the suspects were the shabu they were using and drug paraphernalia.
In Cavite, police killed Danilo Dlacilla, alias Danny, of Bgy. Lalaan 2, Silang town, and Jonard Avilar Corpen, alias Jojo, 33, single, jobless, native of Southern Leyte and resident of the said place.
The incident occurred at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday in Bgy. Lalaan 2.
Accordingly, elements of Silang Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation against the suspects following reports that they were engaged in illegal drugs trade in the area.
At the height of the operation, the suspects sensed that they were negotiating with policemen so they immediately draw their guns and fired at the officers who managed to fight back, killing the suspects.
Recovered at the crime scene were two cal. .38 revolvers with five live ammunition in its chamber, a bolo, seven fired cartridge cases for cal. .45 pistol, two deformed slugs for the gun,  four small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu and marked P500 bill.
