Triker stabs teacher 20x!

POLICE are hunting a “male”  Cinderella in Victoria, Laguna. And they are choosing between two tricycle drivers who could have stabbed Antonina Labing, 37, a teacher, at least 20 times at 5:15 a.m. yesterday. After mutilating the victim, the killer fled with her cash and cellphone.  Like the fairy tale character, he left behind his sandals in his haste to escape.

Two men are already being eyed as the suspects in the murder of Labing, married and a resident of Purok 6, Bgy. San Roque, Laguna. If the sandals left behind by the culprit fits one of them, then he is likely the “Cinderella killer.”

Senior Insp. Alex Marasigan, chief of police, said Labing’s stab-ridden body was found at the side of the provincial road in Bgy. Nanhaya, Victoria. She had boarded a tricycle on her way to work when the tragedy occurred.

A report by Marasigan to Laguna PNP provincial director Senior Supt. Gilbert Cruz showed Labing and a companion from home had boarded a tricycle driven by the suspected killer.

Police believe the victim resisted the holdup and was stabbed inside the tricycle. Then the suspect most likely dumped her body on the road where she was found half an hour later by residents.

Recovered from the crime scene were the suspect’s brown sandals and personal belongings of the victim.    With reports from Zaida delos Reyes-Palanca & Alfred Dalizon
