Ninakaw na Sto. Niño nakita matapos ang 22 taon


ISANG imahe ng Santo Niño na ninakaw mula sa isang simbahan sa Romblon 22 taon na ang nakakaraan ang natagpuan sa Aklan.

Sinabi ng isang TV report na ayon sa Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines, ang imahe ng Nuestra Señor Sto. Niño de Romblon sa altar ng Saint Joseph Cathedral ay nawala noong 1991. Ito ay nabili kailan lang ng isang deboto mula sa isang antique dealer sa Aklan.

Sa panayam sa Radio Veritas, inihayag ni Fr. Joebert Villasis ng Aklan Catholic College na may kaibigan siyang nangongoleka ng mga imahe ng Sto. Niño. Tuwing may bago umanong imahe ang kanyang kaibigan ay tinatanong siya nito.

Sinabi umano ng kaibigan ni Fr. Villasis na may isang dealer na nagbebenta ng imahe ng Sto. Niño de Romblon.

Agad na kumonsulta ang nangongolekta ng imahe kay Aklan Catholic College Professor Jun Mijare.

Noong Enero 30 ay nakumpirma na ang ibinebentang imahe ay ang nawawalang Sto. Niño sa Romblon.

Ibinalik agad ang nawawalang imahe sa simbahan.

Samantala, ibabalik ng mga otoridad ng Romblon church ang nasabing imahe ng Sto. Niño de Romblon sa St. Joseph Cathedral sa Feb. 9.
