City police commander Supt. Reynaldo SG. dela Cruz identified those arrested as Rolando Pascua, 29, and Sherwin Bala, 16, both of Bgy. Culaylay, this city.

They were identified as those who allegedly stole the said plant at the house of spouses Dr. Joel and Jonalyn Ruiz after police got hold of the footages of a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera installed in the victims’ premises on Sanchez Extension, Curamen Subd., Bgy. Sibut, this city.

Investigation showed that the suspects had a prior drinking spree and were riding a Kawasaki Bajaj tricycle when they passed by the victims’ house on their way home and saw the bonsai plant.
