A PHYSICALLY challenged woman reportedly on the barangay drug watchlist was gunned down by two men riding on a motorcycle while eating dinner outside a mall in Mandaluyong City Friday night, police said yesterday.

Ironically, the Mandaluyong City government bans riding on motorcycles in tandem to prevent crimes committed by criminals on motorbikes.

Senior Supt.Joaquin Alva Jr., Mandaluyong Police chief, identified the fatality as Liwayway Yabut, alias Pilay, 39, married and resident of No. 208 Harapin Bukas, Mandaluyong City.

Alva said the woman is said to be on the barangay drug watchlist.

Yabut was eating in front of Market Place at Gen. Kalentong St., Brgy. Harapin Bukas at around 8:30 p.m. when the gunmen attacked.
The suspects shot the woman in the head killing her instantly.
Recovered from the crime scene were empty shells from unknown caliber of firearm.
