Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Chairman Nur Misuari was bumped off from his flight at the NAIA Terminal 1 yesterday.
It was learned that Misuari, who was accompanied by 16 supporters, was about to depart via Saudia Air flight SV 863 at around 3 p.m. when he was bumped off. His travel agency reportedly got the tickets only on promo instead of as a regular flight.
MNLF member Dr. Samsula Adju said they had problems with the tickets but that their agency already apologized and vowed to fix things for them. She said they might be able to finally fly to Riyadh via Jeddah at 7 p.m.
Misuari and his wife Tarhata waited at the immigration office at the departure area while waiting for their boarding passes, following a booking problem.
Misuari thanked President Rodrigo Duterte and Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre for facilitating his travel outside of the country. He also expressed support for the Duterte administration and plans for establishing a federal form of government.
