DAET, Camarines Norte -- Agrarian Reform Sec. Rafael “Ka Paeng” Mariano led the inauguration rites of the one-kilometer, P7-million farm-to-market road (FMR) recently completed in Bgy. San Pascual, Basud town, which connect the isolated village to Bgy. Tuaca, here.
Mariano said the FMR project is part of the P48-million village roads provided by DAR in five other towns in CamNorte, thus giving farmers access to public market in nearby towns for their products.
San Pascual Barangay Captain Hesus Salomon lauded the government project as a relief to both farmers and students, who had to walk over a kilometer distance to school while farmers’ products can now be brought to markets at this capital town.
At least 103 farmer beneficiaries were awarded Certificates of Land Transfer (CLT) in the locality and in CamSur province during Mariano’s visit.
