3 drug suspects killed, 25 held

THREE alleged drug suspects were killed by suspected vigilantes in Pasig City in span of four hours while 25 others were arrested in Malabon City.

Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula said the unidentified the suspects forcibly barged into the house at 1:50 a.m. yesterday and killed Ismael Pangcogay, alias Oteng, 46, watch repairman, native of Marawi City.
Police said Pangcogay was resting inside his house at  23 Afable St., Bgy. Sagad, when unidentified armed suspects came and shot him several times.
Earlier at 11:30 Friday, Gerard John Amandy, 26, was shot dead inside his house at Bolante 1 corner Esguerra St., Bgy. Pinagbuhatan.
A witness, Arlito Bautista, said he was inside his house when he heard successive gunshots and later saw the suspects leaving the crime scene.
At 9:40 p.m., Jhonace Ryan Dotaro, 32, was also shot also inside his house at 22 Villa Tupaz St., Bgy. San Joaquin.
Police sad Dotaro was eating dinner inside their house with his live-in partner when four unidentified armed suspects suddenly arrived and shot him in the head and body and then fled on two motorcycles.
The victim was rushed by his brother to Rizal Medical Center but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Sapitula said all the fatalities are listed in the drug watchlist in their barangays.

In Malabon city, at least 25 suspected drug personalities were arrested by authorities in a series of anti-drug operations Friday night until yesterday dawn resulting in the confiscation of 47 plastic sachets of shabu in the city.
A composite team of police operatives from Station Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group (SAID-SOTG) Intelligence Branch and Malabon Police Community Precincts (PCP) conducted a simultaneous anti-narcotics operation in different barangays that started Friday night until 1:30 a.m. yesterday.
SAID-SOTG operatives, led by PO3 Rommel Abarro arrested Joemar de Jesus, 44, and Victoria Clemente, 37, both of Ugnatan St., Bgy. Concepcion, while in possession of 19 plastic sachets of shabu at 1:30 a.m.
Earlier at around 11:30 p.m. Friday, Reynaldo Biazon, 41, and Enrico Taylor, 36, of Hulong Duhat, were nabbed while in possession of five plastic sachets of shabu while Edelyn Mateo, 33, of Sitio Rosal, Maysilo, was caught by Abarro while holding three plastic sachets of shabu.
In Bgy. Baritan, Edgardo Naval, 45, Ronaldo Victoriano, 45, and Rowel Catalan, 26, were nabbed by elements of the Intelligence Branch and SAID-SOTG at around 9:45 p.m. Three plastic sachets of shabu were recovered from them.
At around 8:45 p.m., Roscoe Roy Amansec, 35, Aey Jay Cruz, 26, Michael Quinto, 41, and Nelson Calambro, 49, were arrested along Katipunan St., Bayan-Bayanan. Five sachets of shabu were recovered from them.
In Bgys. San Agustin and Hulong Duhat, Jaypee Garcia, 32, Lito Lopez, 52, Edward Lopez, 35, and a 16-year-old were nabbed by joint elements of SAID and Police Community Precincts while Daysun Algunajota, 32, and Loida Alejo, 48, were caught after a brief chase. Several plastic sachets of shabu were recovered from them.
In Bgys. Tugatog and Tinajeros, Ised Rafols, 48, Rolando Dizon, 61, Carmelita Sarmiento, 46, Jennifer de Guzman, 41, and John Paul Dela Cruz, 37, yielded five plastic sachets of shabu when they were nabbed past 8 p.m. while Rosauro Bagtas, 61, of Sanciangco Catmon, yielded a plastic sachet of shabu when collared by Senior Insp. Joseph Jimenez of PCP-9.
