GABBY Cconcepcion plays a philandering husband in his new soap, “Ika-6 na Utos”, now shown weekdays right after “Eat Bulaga”. In real life, Gabby is known as a ladies man who has sired daughters with four different women. He has KC with Sharon Cuneta, Garrie with Grace Ibuna, Chloie with Jenny Syquia and two younger daughters with his current partner named Ginbee.

“My life is an open book,” he says. “Hindi ko naman itinatago na I made mistakes in the past. Bata pa ako noon, medyo mapusok at iba pa ang takbo ng pag-iisip. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Sa pagsunod mo sa kagustuhan ng katawan mo, I didn’t realize na may mga nasasaktan pala akong mga tao. But that is all in the past and I have since made amends. I've realized my mistakes at hindi ako dapat tularan.”

Someone quips all his kids are girls and are “pambayad utang” for his misdemeanors. “Huwag naman. Unfair naman na may masamang mangyari sa mga anak kong babae. At this point in my life, mas concerned na talaga ako sa magiging future ng mga anak ko kaysa sa sarili ko. And I’m glad na okay naman ang relationship ko with KC, with Garrie, and now also with Chloie who I finally met.”

What can he say about KC’s current beau, Aly Borromeo? “He’s a good boy, a gentleman, very nice and soft spoken. Sa nakikita ko, okay naman sila ni KC. Bagay sila and I like him for her. But we don’t know if they would really end up together in the future. I will be happy to support kung anuman ang magiging decision nila.”

How does he feel making love to women who are younger than his daughters, like Ryza Cenon, who’s 28 while KC is already 31? “Lagi kong iniisip, trabaho lang ito. And also, sa utak ko, ang mga anak ko, ten years old pa rin sila, mga babies ko pa rin sila. Ryza and I are both professionals. We just did what the script requires from us.”

MOTHER LILY 'PREEMPTS' MMFF'S PARADE OF STARS

MOTHER Lily Monteverde and her daughter Roselle just signed up a contract with GMA Network for some co-production ventures. With them in the  contract signing are GMA bigwigs Atty. Felipe Gozon and Joey Abacan of GMA Films.

Meantime, they’re busy with the promo of their movie, “Mano Po 7: Chinoy”, that opens in theaters nationwide on December 14. Regal will antedate the annual Metro Filmfest parade and have its own grand parade around SM Megamall on Friday, December 9, complete with the Dragon Dance that also had a part during the movie’s presscon at Valencia Events Place. The stars will walk on the red carpet on the way to the premiere night at SM Cinema 7.

“I want this to be very Christmasy in spirit,” says Mother Lily. “Kahit hindi nakasali ang movie namin sa filmfest, we will celebrate it as an early Christmas treat for the loyal viewers of the ‘Mano Po’ series. All the cast members will be there in our own parade of stars: Richard Yap, Jean Garcia, Jake Cuenca, Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel, Enchong Dee, Jessy Mendiola and many more. Everyone is invited to attend the parade and our December 9 free show. So far, very happy kami sa Regal kasi very positive ang feedback ng lahat ng nakakapanood ng full trailer ng ‘Mano Po7: Chinoy’. For sure daw, panonoorin nila ito sa sinehan dahil it’s a good family movie.”

BARBIE GETS OWN STAR AT EASTWOOD'S WALK OF FAME

VARIOUS celebrities and media personalities were honored at Eastwood’s Walk of Fame held last Thursday, December 1. This year, one of the inductees is GMA Artist Center teen star Barbie Forteza. The Kapuso actress likens her recent achievement to a child who excels and does well in class.

“Kapag very good ang isang bata  sa  school, lagi niyang ipinapakita sa magulang niya at sinasabing, ‘May star po ako.’ Pero ako, ang sasabihin ko na sa pamilya ko ngayon ay ‘May Walk of Fame Star na ako!” she gushes happily.

She wants to thank all the people who have been very supportive of her career since she started when she was a child actress. Since then, she has won a FAMAS best child actress award for the movie "Puntod", a Cinemalaya best supporting actress award for "Mariquina" and an international best actress award from Fantasporto Filmfest in Portugal no less for playing the role of a Badjao girl in "Laut".

She now promises to strive for more and continue to be a good example to her audience. “Napakasarap sa pakiramdam bilang isang aktres na magli-leave ako ng mark sa mga tao na hinding-hindi nila malilimutan. Gusto ko ring magpasalamat sa mga taong naniwala at patuloy na naniniwala sa aking kakayahan bilang aktres. Asahan po nilang lalo ko pang pagbubutihin ang aking ginagawa.”

Barbie will soon star in her new teleserye, "Meant to Be", with her having no less than four leading men: Jak Roberto, Ken Chan, Addy Raj and Ivan Dorschner. Watch out for it in 2017!
