TWO men were killed -- one was gunned down by riding-in-tandem suspected members of the Deadly Death Squad (RIT-DDS) while the other died when the gun he allegedly grabbed from one of his policemen escorts went off and hit him -- in separate incidents the other day in Taguig and Parañaque Cities.
Killed were Rocky Sagales, alias Bombay, 40, of Champaca St., Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City, and Mark Anthony John Guyong, a resident of Parañaque City.
Police report showed that the first incident took place at 9:30 p.m., a few meters away from Sagales’ house where the RIT-DDS suspects suddenly appeared and shot him several times before they sped away.
Police said Sagales, who was included in the police drug watchlist, died due to five gunshot wounds in different parts of the body.
In Parañaque, police said Guyong was declared dead on arrival at Ospital ng Parañaque where PO1 Allan Saliva and PO1 Marlon Salas, of Police Community Precinct (PCP) 4 rushed him.
Investigation showed earlier the policemen arrested Guyong at 11 p.m. for illegal possession of firearm, a .38 caliber gun, in C-5 Road, Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.
Police said while they were on board a mobile car at 4 a.m. on their way to the hospital for Guyong’s medical examination, Guyong grabbed the gun of Saliva.
Guyong and Saliva grappled for gun until it suddenly went off hitting the victim in the chest. Guyong was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
