Killed over handbag

A 50-year-old woman was shot dead by riding-in-tandem robbers after she resisted when one of the suspects grabbed her handbag the other day in Makati City.

Killed was Catalina Aguas, 50, crew in a food store, resident of Copernico St., Barangay San Isidro, Makati City.
Aguas died due to three gunshot wounds in the head and body while the suspects sped away.
PO3 Ronaldo Villaranda, of Station Investigation and Detective Management Branch (SIDMB) of Makati police said the incident took place at 4 a.m., meters away from Aguas’ house.
Investigation showed that Aguas was walking on her way home when she met the motorcycle-riding suspects.
Police said the backrider grabbed the bag of the victim but the latter resisted prompting one of the suspects to shoot her at close range.
