OTBT,‘Tokhang’ net 14 in Taguig

FOURTEEN drug suspects were arrested while 22 others surrendered in a police “One-Time, Big-Time” and “Oplan Tokhang” operations yesterday in Taguig City.

Supt. Jenny Tecson, chief of Public Information Office of Southern Police District (SPD), said the operation was conducted at 8 a.m. in Bgy. Napindan, Taguig City.

Chief Supt. Tomas Apolinario, director of SPD, said 13 men and a woman were arrested after they were caught in act of holding a shabu session when policemen raided a house that served as a drug den on Labao Street.
Apolinario said several plastic sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspects.
He added that 22 persons, who admitted that they were into drugs, surrendered during police’s “Oplan Tokhang” in the said barangay.
He also disclosed that police also seized 21 motorcycles due to lack of documents.
He said the arrested suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while those who surrendered were asked to sign an undertaking either to stop taking drugs or undergo rehabilitation.
