THE president of the Association of Barangay Chairmen (ABC) in Bani, Pangasinan, is now in hot water after police found illegal drugs inside his house which they raided yesterday morning on the strength of a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 issued by a local court.
Pangasinan police director Senior Supt. Ronald O. Lee identified the ABC president as Eduardo Ramoones Jr., chairman of Bgy. Ambabaay, Bani municipality, whose house yielded eight plastic sachets containing suspected shabu.
Lee described Ramoones as a ‘high-value’ drug target in Pangasinan.
The official said that combined operatives of the Pangasinan PPO, the Bani Municipal Police Station, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency stormed the barangay official’s house on the strength of a search warrant for violation of RA 9165.
