FOUR drug users in a shabu session were riddled with bullets by motorcycle-riding suspects inside a suspected shabu den in Marikina City Sunday night.
The druggies’ massacre was the second incident in the eastern part of Metro Manila perpetrated by unidentified MC-riding suspects.
Last October 31 in Mandaluyong City, five drug personalities sniffing illegal drugs were shot dead by armed men who forcibly barged into a suspected shabu den.
Senior Supt. Lorenzo Holanday Jr., Marikina police chief, identified the fatalities as Rodel Aguilar, 41, of 60 Erana J. Manalo St. cor. Aquilina St., Sto. Niño; Danilo Sernicula, 48, of 7 Penguin St., Park 6, Malanday; Jesus Martin, 50, of 414 Shoe Ave., Sto. Niño, and an unidentified man.
Holanday said the four died from multiple gunshot wounds in their bodies.
Investigation showed the four were inside the house of Jesus Martin, reportedly a shabu den, and sniffing illegal drugs at 11:30 p.m.
Suddenly, armed men, wearing helmets, forcibly barged into the house and shot them repeatedly.
Police recovered eight fired empty cartridge casings/shells for unidentified caliber of firearm and a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and aluminum foil.
Holanday said they are eyeing a botched drug deal or an old grudge as the possible motive behind the strafing incident.
It was also learned that police conducted Oplan Tokhang at the house of Jesus Martin but he refused to voluntarily surrender to authorities.
Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula ordered his men to conduct an investigation and identify the killers on the said incident.
