FOUR drug suspects were killed while a man was hit by a stray bullet when motorcycle-riding members of the Deadly Death Squad (DDS) out to liquidate personalities into illegal activities, including illegal drugs, struck again in separate shooting incidents yesterday in Pasay and Makati cities.

Killed were Louie Abarilla, 43, mechanic, Benedicto Santos, 48, a certain alias Gilbert, Jonathan Vargas, alias Joy, who were all shot dead by RIT-DDS in Pasay City, and one Mark Anthony Lunag, 20, alias Macmac, who was killed in Makati City.

Police records showed Gilbert was gunned down in an eatery along EDSA, Barangay 75, Zone 10, Pasay, shortly after 12 midnight.

A cashier in the eatery, identified only as Wilma, told police that Gilbert was only buying cigarette when the three suspects came and successively fired at the victim.

She added that Gilbert managed to run inside the eatery where he was cornered and shot dead by the suspects.

Police said an unidentified customer who was eating inside was rushed to a nearby hospital after he was hit by a stray bullet.

Minutes after, Abarilla and Santos were gunned down almost simultaneously in Tramo Street and Barangay 99, Pasay City, respectively.

Witnesses told police that Abarilla was just standing on the street when he was killed while Santos was inside his house playing a card game when six suspects wearing masks and riding three motorcycles barged in and shot him dead.
