TWO suspected drug pushers were killed while a woman was arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by operatives of Sta. Rosa PNP at Garcia Compound, Purok 1, Bgy. Aplaya, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, Thursday night.

A report to acting Laguna police director Senior Supt. Joel Pernito by Supt. Giovanni Martinez, Sta. Rosa police chief, identified the slain suspects as Rafael Almira Garcia, 60, alias Raffy; and Gilbert Capuso Garcia, alias Teggy, both of Garcia Compound, Bgy. Aplaya.

Both suspects died on the spot while their woman companion, identified as Mary Ann Alibudbud Garcia, 42, was arrested. Their unidentified male companion escaped.

The operatives were conducting a buy-bust operation at 10:45 p.m. A lawman acting as poseur buyer was able to purchase a small transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu but the suspects sensed that their client was a policeman so they pulled out their guns, triggering a firefight.

Police recovered at the crime scene a Colt cal. .45 pistol loaded with four live ammunition, a cal. .22 paltik with one live ammunition and three small plastic sachets of shabu and eight small plastic sachets of marijuana.

The bodies of the suspects were brought to John Paul Funeral Parlor  for autopsy while a criminal complaint was filed against Mary Ann Alibudbod Garcia before the City Prosecutor’s Office in Sta. Rosa City.
