TWELVE drug suspects were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Mabalacat, Angeles and Baguio cities and Benguet.
Supt. Juritz Rara, city police officer-in-charge, said a buy-bust operation against one “Palos” was conducted on Quezon Drive corner Roxas Street in Bgy. Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, at 4 a.m. yesterday.
The operation led to the arrest of Palos, later identified as Wilson Laza, 29, who yielded two small plastic sachets containing shabu.
Laza sold P300 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer and ran after sensing that it was a buy-bust operation. Pursuing policemen cornered him inside a house on Roxas St. There, they caught Trisha Mamba, 18, Maureen Tolentino, 32, Rachel Visperas, 23, and Ryan Marimla, 35, in the act of sniffing shabu.
Two other persons in the house, identified as Roel Gramonte, 39, and Limuel Pamintuan, 28, were asked to empty the pockets of their pants and yielded two small plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
In Bgy. Balibago, Angeles City, operatives of the Pampanga Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested Annabel Flores, 51, after selling P500 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Chief Insp. Reynold Macabitas said they also confiscated seven more plastic sachets of suspected shabu and paraphernalia from Flores.
One Arcile Esguerra, who obstructed the CIDG operatives chasing Flores, was also arrested.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In Baguio, City Anti-Illegal Drugs Unit (CAIDU) operatives arrested Reynaldo de Castro, 28, dancer, at 2 a.m. yesterday at Mineski Computer Shop, Bonifacio St., for possession of plastic sachets of suspected shabu (1.50 grams) worth P27,000 and a marked P500 bill. The items are to be subjected for qualitative examination at the PNP Crime Laboratory, Camp Bado Dangwa. In La Trinidad, Benguet, SAIDU and Intel personnel arrested Roland Guitala Abriam, a.k.a. “Lokoy”, 21, of Toyong, Pico, La Trinidad, for possession of four plastic sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.
Police also arrested James Acquita Acosta, a.k.a. Jaime Molina Apellido, 33, married, porter, of Shamolog, Pico.
