Man dragged to death by speeding train

A man died and lost a foot after being dragged by a speeding train in Pandacan, Manila yesterday.

The victim was identified only as “Ferdinand”, of Pandacan, while the machinist of the train, Aldrin delos Santos, is now facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
   
Senior Insp. Arnold Sandoval, chief of the Investigation Unit of the Manila Traffic Enforcement Group, said the incident took place at 11:05 a.m. in Kahilum 1, Pandacan, Manila.
   
Police said the victim ignored the train whistle and got dragged.
