TWO suspected drug pushers were killed by operatives of the Biñan and Calamba PNPs in separate encounters during buy-bust operations.
Acting Laguna police director Senior Supt. Joel C. Pernito identified the slain suspect as Jomel Sigue, of Cataran St., Bgy. Platero, Biñan City, who was killed along the PNR railroad tracks in Bgy. Platero Sunday afternoon.
Sigue was pronounced dead on arrival at Biñan Doctor's Hospital due to gunshot wounds in the body. Police said Sigue is included in the drug watchlist of the city police.
A member of the Intel operatives of the Biñan police acting as poseur buyer transacted with the suspect to buy shabu.
Police recovered at the crime scene a cal. .38 revolver, four live ammunition, two fired cartridges of same caliber, six fired cartridges for cal. .45, a 9mm pistol and a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu and P710.
In Calamba City, a suspected drug personality was killed in a running gunbattle with operatives of Calamba PNP in an anti-illegal drug operation conducted in Villa Palao, Bgy. San Cristobal.
A report submitted to Pernito identified the slain suspects as alias Buloy and alias Marlon Malabo, both wanted for motornapping cases.
Investigators said the suspect escaped on board a skeleton motorcycle without plate number during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. San Cristobal and drove towards an isolated area.
The operatives immediately installed mobile and motor cops who chased the suspect.
The suspect then fired at the lawmen whose mobile car incurred damages in the windshield and right fender.
