San Pedro most wanted killed, 4 held for shabu

A 40-year-old suspected drug pusher was killed in an encounter with elements of the Provincial Intelligence Branch in the 1st and 2nd districts, the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (PAIDSOTF) and San Pedro police in Kalye Onse Bgy. Cuyab, San Pedro City, Monday night.

Newly-installed San Pedro police chief Supt. Joseph Bayan identified the slain suspect as Rodel Palanque, alias Rudy, who died from multiple gunshot wounds in the body.
According to Acting Laguna police director Senior Supt. Joel Pernito, Pa-lanque is listed as one of the most wanted persons in Lambat Sibat Phase 1. 
The operatives, armed with a warrant for violation of RA 6539 (Anti-Carnapping Law), conducted a buy-bust operation at the suspect’s lair at 10:45 p.m.
A police poseur-buyer transacted with the suspect for shabu when the latter sensed that he was  dealing with a police officer so he pulled out a gun and fired at the former but missed.
The officer returned fire, hitting him in the body.
Police recovered at the crime scene a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.
Meanwhile, San Pedro police arrested five persons, including two women, during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. San Roque, San Pedro City, Monday night.
Pernito identified the arrested suspects as Ma. Teresa Ohoy, alias Rea, 33, Danilo Aman, 54, Andrew Almendrala, 35, Rosalie Pulido, 33, and Marlon Bartolazo, 32, all of San Pedro City.
Three of the suspects were caught at 6:10 p.m. at a pot session inside the house of Ohoy.
Police confiscated from the suspects 0.40 gram of shabu worth P2,000 which was subjected for laboratory and drug examination.
Charges of violation of Article II, RA 9165 were filed against the suspects before the San Pedro City Prosecutor’s Office.
