A 13-YEAR-OLD boy committed suicide the other day after his mother scolded him for getting low grades in Cebu City.
The victim was identified as John Lancelor Omambac, first year high school student of Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy, of Bgy. Poblacion Ward 4, Minglanilla, Cebu.
Reports reaching Camp Crame said the victim’s body was discovered by his sibling hanging in their bathroom. Relatives of the victim rushed him to Minglanilla District Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Prior to the incident, the victim’s mother scolded him for getting low grades which were required for scholarship. Lailanie reporteldy wanted her son to avail of the scholarship offered by her employer.
Authorities are still conducting follow-up investigation in to the incident. Zaida delos Reyes-Palanca
