ZARAGOSA, Nueva Ecija -- A 19-year-old vocational student has fallen victim to a motorcycle-riding assassin, who shot him dead in front of horrified eyes of his three classmates after they went out of the school for a snack break here last Monday morning.
Killed was Jerry Antonio, single, of Bgy. Sta. Lucia, student of Floriana Bao-Sadian Technical Vocational School, a TESDA-accredited school, located on Purok Madre Falla St., Bgy. Del Pilar West.
Police said Antonio sustained 10 gunshot (entry and exit) wounds in the back, chest, abdomen and right arm.
The gun attack was carried out at 9:40 a.m. by a lone gunman, described as wearing a white T-shirt, about 5’5” in height, light-complexioned and riding a Suzuki Smash motorcycle.
The victim, along with his classmates Jomel Cusilit, 20, John Samuel Mejia, 19, and Almer Nicodemus, 18, just took a break from their class at a sari-sari store outside the school.
Police said the victim and his classmates were walking back to school when the gunman tailed them and shot the victim at the back several times.
The suspect boarded his motorcycle and sped away.
The victim was declared dead on arival at La Paz Community Medicare Center.
Recovered at the crime scene were five cartridge cases for cal. 9mm pistol.
