CAMP Malvar, Batangas -- Police on Sunday nabbed two wanted murder and frustrated murder suspects in Bgy. Sta. Monica, Tag-kawayan, Quezon, said Batangas Police Public Information Office OIC Insp. Mary Anne Crester N. Torres.
Provincial police director Senior Supt. Leopoldo Cabanag identified the suspects as Vivencio Tolentino Asi, 27, single, and Agaton Alo Asi, 52, both farmers, of Bgy. Sto. Niño, Batangas City.
At about 6 a.m. on August 13, joint elements of the Batangas City Police Station, led by SPO2 Tadeo de Chavez, Tagkawayan Municipal Police Station, RIU 4A, QPPSC and PIB QPPO under the direct supervision of Supt. Noel Donato Nunez, arrested the two accused in Bgy. Sta. Monica, Tagkawayan, by virtue of a warrants for attempted murder and murder issued by Judge Aida C. Santos of RTC Branch 7, Batangas City.
Batangas City police chief Supt. Barnard Danie Dasugo said the two accused are 5th and 6th most wanted in Top 10 Manhunt Charlie city level of the said station.
The incident happened on Feb. 25, 2016 in Sitio Kay Lamig, Bgy. Sto. Niño, Batangas City, when the accused, armed with bolos hacked to death Alejandro Magbantay Tolentino and seriously injured Robert Guico Tolentino, Dasugo said.
No bail was recommended for the murder case while the attempted murder suspect was allowed to post P120,000 bail.
