TWO women believed to be involved in the trafficking of the designer drug called Ecstasy were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a recent entrapment operation in Makati City, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Director General Isidro S. Lapeña said yesterday.
Suspects Carmencita Hogar alias ‘Chuchay,’ 47, and Glaiza Mae T. de Asis alias ‘Ivy,’ 29, both residents of No. 4481 Calatagan Street, Barangay Palanan, Makati City, were immediately arrested after they conspired to sell Ecstasy tablets to an undercover officer of the PDEA Regional Office 3 inside a Makati City mall.
Lapeña said the 151 Ecstasy tablets valued at P225,000 were seized from the suspects as well as the marked money paid to them by the poseur. The party drugs were contained in three plastic packets.
