Man dies in Marikina gun attack

AN unidentified man wearing a “Sputnik Gang” tattoo on his body was shot dead in Marikina City Monday night.

Reports said the victim, between 35 and 40 years old, with tattoos in the upper back of the body and “Rommel Warrior,” was found dead in a vacant lot in Nirlie Village, Bgy. Sto. Niño, at 10:30 p.m.
   
The victim was only in camouflage short, his head was wrapped with a dock tape and body covered with a placard that read: “Pusher, mMagnanakaw ako huwag akong tularan.”
   
Jeepney driver Jovit Vargas told police he was about to park his vehicle in the area when he heard successive shots, prompting him to report to the authorities.
   
Police recovered empty shells for unknown caliber of gun and suspected shabu near the victim’s body.
