Manila City Hall employee nabbed for selling shabu

AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera (PDEA-CAR) and the  National Capital Region (NCR) arrested an employee of the Manila City Hall in a buy-bust operation in Binondo, Manila.

PDEA-CAR Regional Director Juvenal Azurin identified the suspect as Edward Yu Pascual, 42, a resident of Claro M. Recto Avenue, Binondo, Manila and a member of the Task Force Anti-Littering Unit of the Manila City Hall-Department of Public Service.
Pascual was arrested after he sold a cellophane containing suspected shabu to a PDEA-CAR agent.
Seized from Pascual were the illicit drug weighing around 100 grams, the buy-bust money worth P200,000, a mobile phone and two government IDs.
PDEA-CAR chief information officer Joseph  Frederick Calulut said Pascual was arrested hours after the discovery of a suspected drug den under the Muelle de Binondo bridge.
Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspect.
