LALONG magiging aktibo at epektibo ang serbisyo ng Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) Batangas Chapter matapos simulan sa pamamagitan ng isang ceremonial ground breaking ang itatayong dalawang palapag na gusali na magsisilbing blood collecting facility and administration building ng nasabing ahensya.
Ang okasyon ay pinangunahan ni PNRC National Chairman Richard Gordon at Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto kasama ang mga pinuno ng pamahalaang panlalawigan at chapter members ng Red Cross Batangas.
Sa nalalapit na pagkakatayo ng gusali na magsisilbing blood collecting facility na handog ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa inisyatibo ng administrasyon ni Gov. Vi at Senator Ralph Recto, mas epektibong magagampanan ng Red Cross ang blood collection program nito at aasahang tataas ang bilang ng koleksyon ng dugo mula sa blood bank nito na pangunahing pangangailangan sa serbisyong medikal para sa mga Batangueño.
Bukod sa blood collection, mapapalakas din ang kapabilidad ng Red Cross Batangas sa pagresponde sa mga emergency at disaster situation matapos ihandog ni Chairman Gordon ang dalawang modernong ambulansya na may kakayahan na magserbisyo sa anumang klaseng sakuna.
Naging tampok din sa okasyon ang paglagda ng memorandum of agreement na nagsaad ng mas aktibong pakikipag-ugnayan at pakikiisa ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan at Red Cross organization sa pag papaganap ng adhikain na makatulong na sumagip ng buhay sa lalawigan ng Batangas.
Ang paglagda ay ginampanan nina Chairman Richard Gordon, Governor Vilma Santos Recto at Honesto Babasa, PRC Board of Director vice chairman at sinaksihan ng Red Cross Batangas volunteers at mga delegasyon mula sa Medical and Academe Community.
