MALOLOS City -- Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) operatives arrested gun-wielding drug pushers in Bgy. Cambaog, Bustos, Bulacan, Saturday.
s/Supt. Fernando Mendez Jr., Bulacan provincial director, identified the arrested suspects as Sandy Domingo, 34, resident of A. Bonifacio St., Bgy. Cambaog, Bustos; and Rod Rodigo, 48, of 27 Bgy. Bintog, Plaridel, Bulacan.
PPSC policemen under Supt. Fitz Macariola, in coordination with the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency, conducted the operation in Bgy. Cambaog around 9:45 p.m. last Saturday.
When frisked, the suspects yielded two sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu,” a caliber .38 revolver with three live bullets, two empty cartridges for caliber .38 and P3,000 cash.
The arrested suspects are now under the custody of the PPSC while appropriate criminal complaint is being prepared for filing in court.
Macariola said charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition will be filed against the suspects.
Meanwhile, on the same day, around 4 a.m., a caliber .38 revolver without serial number was recovered by police in Bgy. Longos, Pulilan, Bulacan.
Supt. Myrna Reyes, Pulilan police chief, said while her men were conducting police visibility patrol in Bgy. Longos, they saw a suspicious-looking person standing along Del Rosario St. of said barangay.
As the police were approaching him, the suspect suddenly run away and threw the firearm away. The lawmen gave chase but the suspect managed to escape.
