ANOTHER female drug pusher tagged as Bukidnon’s 2nd most wanted person was arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Wednesday in a buy-bust operation in Valencia City.
PDEA chair Undersecretary Jose S. Gutierrez, Jr. said Evella B. Babela, Purok 2, Poblacion, Valencia City, was arrested at her house after she sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover PDEA agent.
Aside from the drug, police seized from Babela the marked P500 bill used in the sting. A search at the suspect’s house resulted in the seizure of 10 more plastic sachets containing shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia and the mobile phone she used in dealing with the undercover officer.
Gutierrez said Babela is also the no. 4 most wanted drug person in the entire Northern Mindanao.
Babela is currently detained at the Bukidnon Provincial Special Enforcement Team jail. Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against her.
The next day, PDEA agents collared another female drug pusher in Naguilian, La Union.
Juvy P. Oblero, 44, of Barangay Ortiz, Naguilian, is included in the PDEA’s list of most wanted drug personalities. She is believed to be a member of the notorious Calica Drug Group operating in the province.
Meanwhile, in Manapla, Negros Occidental, PDEA agents and members of the provincial police arrested Remy T. Ardeña, alias “Kano,” 49, of Sitio Toong, Barangay 1, after he allegedly sold a packet of shabu to a poseur buyer.
Ardeña yielded five more plastic sachets containing shabu and the marked bills used in the sting. Alfred Dalizon
