DAET, Camarines Norte -- The Police Provincial Office has ordered local chief of police Supt. Allan Olea Ramos to step up investigation into the “Valentine’s Day” robbery of the LBC (cash-transfer service) branch on Vinzons Avenue here, involving two suspects armed with cal. .45 pistols, on Wednesday.
Police said the suspects carted away an undetermined amount of money, Unofficial sources, however, said at least P60,000 were stolen by the suspects during the robbery which occurred at about 7 a.m. on Feb. 14.
A report from the CamNorte Police Office said an employee of the LBC branch, identified as Jeffrey Reverta Petallo, 26, was held up at gunpoint by the two suspects as he was opening the office last Tuesday morning.
The suspects ordered Petallo to open an unlock drawer containing cash remittances before they hogtied him with packaging tape.
Petallo told the police that he, along with co-employee Liza Tolosa Garcia, 24, were locked inside the comfort room before the suspects fled.
Witnesses said that the suspects, together with a lookout, fled on a motorcycle towards Talisay town.
