ANGELES City -- Police are hunting a 35-year-old security guard who allegedly raped the 13-year-old daughter of his landlady five times since last December in Bgy. Balibago here.
Chief Insp. Luisito Tan of Police Station 4 said five counts of rape have been filed against Joey Flores Managuit, a security guard at Citibank Balibago branch.
The suspect is a member of the Chevron Security Agency based in Bagong Lipunan ng Crame in Quezon City.
PO3 Christina Ramos, of the Women and Children’s Police Desk said Managuit allegedly raped the young girl on Dec. 17 and 18, Jan. 16 and 17, and last Feb. 10.
The victim’s mother told police that she got suspicious when her daughter did not report for school last Feb. 10.
At around 4 p.m., the girl finally came home and her mother was able to convince her to tell the truth. She then accompanied her daughter to the police station and to the Ospital Ning Angeles where a medical examination showed that the girl already had repeated sexual intercourse.
In her sworn affidavit, the victim said Managuit, who was renting a room in her house, first raped her at 2 a.m. last Dec. 17.
“Natutulog po ako nang maramdaman kong parang may naghuhubad sa shorts ko kaya nagising ako, nakapatong sa akin si Joey Managuit. Tinutulak ko pero malakas siya at pinagsamantalahan ako nito,” the girl said.
The victim said the rape was repeated three more times inside their house and last Feb. 10 at Sunlight Motel.
“Inulit ni Joey Managuit ang ginawa nito sa akin at sinabi na huwag akong magsusumbong sa aking mama,” she said.
Police tried to arrest the suspect but he stopped reporting for work and went hiding.
