A MEMBER of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) was shot dead yesterday by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Zambaoanga City.
Zambaonga City Police Office (ZCPO) Director Edwin de Ocampo identified the victim as Technical Sergeant Cesar Simbi, 42. He is assigned with the PAF’s 206th Air Wing based at the Edwin Andrews Air Base in the city.
According to the report, Simbi was driving his motorcycle on his way home at Presda Drive, Canelar Village when the suspects showed up. The suspects, ridding in tandem, chased Simbi. One of the two gunmen shot him.
Simbi sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival at the Zamboanga City Medical Center.
De Ocampo ordered the ZCPO’s Criminal Investigation and Criminal Management to identify the masked suspects.
