PULILAN, Bulacan -- The local police join the Valentine’s Day celebration in this municipality which kicked-off with a fun run dubbed as “Run for Your Heart” at 5 in the morning yesterday.
In her report to Senior Supt. Fernando Mendez Jr., Bulacan police director, Supt. Myrna Reyes, Pulilan’s chief of police, stated that the 4-kilometer run from Bgy. Tibag to the quadrangle of Pulilan Municipal Building was headed by Hon. Mayor Vicente Esguerra and participated by more or less 150 runners composed of municipal employees, barangay chairmen, tanods, including civic organizations and local police.
The fun run which aims to promote health consciousness was followed by “Taebo Aerobics” at around 6 in the morning at the municipal quadrangle. An acoustic band also performed during the event to cool down the runners.
The program was concluded by the signing of “manifesto of commitment” by Elena C. Santos, Municipal Agrarian Reform officer; Loreto De Jesus, Municipal Agriculture officer; and Teresita Tetangco, Municipal Environmental and Natural Resources officer to signify full support to the National Greening Program of the government through the implementation of “Pulis Makakalikasan: 10 Milyong Puno Pamana sa Kinabukasan.
