A TOTAL of P3.8 million worth of fully-grown marijuana plants and seedlings were uprooted by joined elements of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office (PPO) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during their one-day operation in Kalinga.
Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr. said elements of Kalinga PPO and PDEA-Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) conducted the operation from 10:40 a.m. to 1 p.m. the other day.
The operation in Sitios Maob, Ak-akkan and Supitan, both of Bgy. Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga, resulted in the uprooting of some 15,000 fully-grown marijuana plants worth P3,000,000 and 20,000 marijuana seedlings with estimated value of P800,000.
