4 nabbed while ‘cannibalizing’ stolen motorcycle!


MEYCAUAYAN City -- Authorities arrested four suspected motorcycle thieves while “cannibalizing” a stolen motorcycle in Bgy. Lawa, this city, Saturday.

Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Fernando H. Mendez Jr., said the arrested suspects were identified by Meycauayan police chief Supt. Hector Samar as Efren Mondonedo Jr., 26, pedicab driver, of 54 J. Legaspi St., Bgy Zamora; Jonathan Talusig, 26, of 87 Villano St., Bgy. Zamora; John Anthony Ocampo, 18, single, jobless, of 54 Bgy. Bayugo; and Ronald Allan Japsay, 23, single, student, of 609 Paraiso   St., Bgy. Bayugo, all in Meycauayan City.

Mendez said the suspects were nabbed at around 2:45 a.m. in the act of dismantling a motorcycle at Blk. 2, Lot 1, Phase 2, Meywoods Villages, Bgy. Lawa, from an information given by a concerned citizen.

Confiscated from the suspects were dismantled parts of a motorcycle and a plate number 3357RJ. 

Initial investigation disclosed that the dismantled motorcycle was reportedly stolen on February 10 at about 8 p.m. in front of the residence of Luiz Marquez, Jr. on J. Legaspi St., Bgy. Zamora, Meycauayan City.

The stolen motorcycle is registered to Ronnie Calderon, of 84 Tinejero, Pulilan, Bulacan, brother-in-law of Luiz Marquez.

The arrested suspects and dismantled motorcycle were placed under the custody of Meycauayan police. Criminal charges will be filed against the suspects.
