A U.S. Navy serviceman was shot dead by two unidentified suspects while walking on his way home in Binangonan, Rizal, Saturday night.
Victim Jairad Salmunde Cummings, 27, married, of Sampaguita St., Bgy. San Carlos, Binangonan, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body and died while undergoing treatment at the Angono General Hospital.
Reports said the incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. while victim was buying mineral water in a store on Champaca St., Bgy. San Carlos. While walking on his way home, he was shot several times by the suspect on board a black car without plate number. The suspect quickly fled.
The victim was brought by neighbors to the hospital.
Police conducted a follow up operation for the arrest of the suspects.
