PROCOR celebrates 21st PNP anniversary


CAMP Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet -- Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) on Friday commemorated the 21st founding anniversary of the Philippine National Police.

National Police Commission regional director Pedro Magannon was the event’s guest of honor and speaker.

The celebration started with a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of the deceased members of PROCOR. Widows of deceased policemen were among those who offered wreath at the heroes’ monument inside Camp Bado Dangwa.

Magan-non congratulated PROCOR officers and men on their achievements -- among them the launching of the e-blotter in the region and their active participation in communal concerns like the Kalinga tribal conflict of Lobo and Mangali that recently happened in Tabuk, Kalinga.

Other highlight of the ceremony is the giving of educational financial assistance to dependents of PROCOR officers who died in line of duty.

Among the beneficiaries are Mervin Jay Trinidad, son of the late PO1 Marvi Trinidad; Cheska Gray Angway, daughter of the late SPO1 Jose Angway; Anthony Bigornia, son of the late PO1 Albert Bigornia; and Andres Dalipog, son of the late PO1 Recto Dalipog.   Cesar Reyes
