MALOLOS City -- Police on Friday nabbed a motorcycle-riding robber who snatched the wallet of a pedestrian in Bgy. Camalig, Meycauayan City.
Meycauayan City police chief Supt. Hector Samar identified the arrested suspect as Angelito Gonzales, 42, resident of 216 Camangyanan, Sta. Maria, Bulacan.
According to precinct commander S/Insp. Leopoldo Estorque, victim Hidelita Casicas, 30, of 59 Libis St., Bgy. Iba, Meycauayan City, was crossing the road when Gonzales on board his motorcycle snatched her wallet containing mobile phone and P2,550.
Fortunately, a patrolling police officer saw the incident and he promptly chased and arrested the suspect.
Gonzales was charged with robbery-snatching before the prosecutor’s office and is now locked up at the Meycauayan City Police Station. Manny Balbin
