2 teens held for drugs

TWO male teenagers landed in jail after they were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in an anti-narcotics operation in Davao City recently.

PDEA chair Undersecretary Jose S. Gutierrez, Jr. identified one of the suspects as Marshadam M. Amba, 19, of Bagu 3, Mabini, Cotabato City, but withheld the identity of the second suspect for being a minor.

Gutierrez said the two conspired to sell shabu to an undercover PDEA officer on Leo Street, GSIS Subdivision, Matina, Davao City.

Seized from the suspects were four plastic sachets containing shabu and two packs of dried marijuana leaves.

Amba is now being held at the PDEA Regional Office 1 jail after he was charged with selling and possession of dangerous drugs  while the other suspect was turned over to the local Department of Social Welfare and Development.                                    Alfred Dalizon
