Healthy diet sa day care pupils sa Batangas


PATULOY na bibigyang pansin ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ang estado ng kalusugan ng mga mag-aaral sa day care centers sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng masustansiyang pagkain sa mga ito.

Sa pagtutulungan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development Office Region 4-A at Provincial Social Welfare Development Office na may direktang partisipasyon sa programa, ipinagkaloob noong Enero 30, 2012 ang mga tseke para sa supplemental feeding program for day care pupils.

Personal na tinanggap ni Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto ang halagang P655,800 kay DSWD Region 4-A  Director Wilma Naviamos kasama si Provincial Social Welfare Officer Jocelyn Montalbo para sa  supplemental feeding program ng  mga bayan ng San Nicolas at San Pascual.

Layunin ng feeding program na pag-ibayuhin ang kalusugan ng mga day care pupils at maagang pagmulat sa mga ito sa tamang pagkain at iwasan ang junk  foods na hindi nakakatulong sa kalusugan at pagyabong ng kaisipan.

Sa kabuuan ay mayroon ng 3,236 mag-aaral sa lalawigan ang sumasailalim sa supplemental feeding na binubuo ng mga day care centers mula sa mga bayan ng San Nicolas, Agoncillo, Balayan, San Pascual at Taysan.
