CAMP Macabulos, Tarlac City -- Two drug pushers who are in the watch list of drug personalities in Tarlac finally fell into the hands of the police during separate buy-bust operations in Bgys. Ligtasan and Binauganan, this city, over the weekend.
Tarlac police director Senior Supt. Alfred Corpus identified the suspects as Rannie Tuazon, a.k.a. Tigas, 42, married, of Our Lady of Ransom, Bgy. Matatalaib, and Jose Antonio Gomez, alias Poniong, 31, married, jobless, of Bgy. Binauganan.
In Bgy. Ligtasan, PO1 Ben Daria, who acted as poseur buyers was able to buy a transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth P500 from Tuazon. In Bgy. Binauganan, PO1 Rhene Casino, was able to buy shabu worth P500 from Gomez.
Police recovered from the two suspects three more plastic sachets of shabu, .10 grams from Gomez and .39 grams from Tuazon as well as two cellphones, a U.S. dollar and the marked money used by the policemen.
Razalan said the operations were coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the arrests were made in the presence of barangay officials and media men.
The two were temporarily jailed here facing charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
