A SHOOTING incident occurred in Bgy. Saranay, Guimba, Nueva Ecija. The victims were identified as Mayor Restituto Abad of Carranglan, Nueva Ecija, and his driver.
The victims were shot by motorcycle riding-in- tandem suspects.
Mayor Abad sustained gunshot wounds on the left armpit and shoulder. His driver was hit in the neck and head. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
One of the suspects was identified as Jose Berlino, 49. He acted as driver and lookout. He was arrested while his cohort managed to escape. Zaida delos Reyes-Palanca
