MALOLOS City -- The Bulacan Criminal Investigation and Detection Group confiscated three units of video karera and one fruit game machine in separate anti-gambling operations in Sta. Maria town, Friday afternoon.
Chief Insp. Monico Cadayona, Bulacan CIDG provincial officer, in his report to CIDG regional officer Senior Supt. Rudy Lacadin, said the confiscated “devil machines” were seized in Bgys. Mag-asawang Sapa and Guyong.
Cadayona said a team led by SP01 Joselito DL del Rosario, Community Investigative Support Alex Schwarcoff and Dennis Glorianni responded on a tip of concerned citizens on the proliferation of video karera machines in the two barangays.
The operator/maintainer of the VK machines, identified as Vicente Herrera and Fanny, were not around during the raid, he said.
The gambling machines were brought to Bulacan CIDG headquarters for safekeeping.
Charges will be filed against the operators.
Cadayona said the accomplishment is a flagship operation of CIDG dubbed “Oplan Roulette.”
